When construction season is in full swing, Mother Nature doesn’t take a day off, especially in Florida. For Rebekah Register and the team at Absolute Solutions ARS, LLC, keeping projects moving meant finding a solution that would keep their operators comfortable, focused, and productive no matter what the forecase had in store.

That solution came with the addition of a 2025 Power Curber 5700-D equipped with the Climate-Controlled Cabin.

Established in 2012, Absolute Solutions specializes in concrete slipform construction throughout the Panhandle of Florida. Having grown up around the construction industry, Rebekah understands that productivity does not come from the machine, it’s driven by the people operating it.

Absolute Solutions’ relationship with Power Curbers dates back to 2012 with the purchase of its first machine, a Power Curber 5500-B. Since then, the company has operated a 5500-B, 5700-C, and a 5700-D machine. When it came time to add another machine to the fleet, Rebekah decided to equip her second 5700-D machine with the Power Curbers Climate-Controlled Cabin.

Operating in the Florida Panhandle means enduring some of the most challenging weather conditions in the Southeast. Triple-digit temperatures, high humidity, sudden rain showers, and cold winter mornings are all part of the job. The reaction was immediate: “This is amazing!” ARS’s operator, Gabe, said when the machine arrived in October 2025, “It was a slightly chilly day, but the heater worked great. This is our fourth new Power Curber, and we couldn’t be happier.”

The enclosed cabin provides protection for the machine’s electronics while running 3D controls and allows the operator to stay focused during long days on the job. Just as importantly, the crew has experienced no visibility concerns from the enclosed design.

For Register, the value of the Climate-Controlled Cabin comes down to one thing: taking care of the operator.

“If it prevents operator frustration due to heat and sweat, then I can say it is totally worth it,” she said.

The machine itself has also delivered impressive results. The versatility and simplified operation of the 5700-D have exceeded previous models, while features like the “all up” jog switch have become favorites among the crew.  By eliminating the need to set and retrieve pins and string, the machine has reduced labor requirements and improved efficiency on the jobsite.

Those benefits recently helped Absolute Solutions complete over two miles of a 3-foot-wide concrete mow strip for a rigid cable barrier installation project, work that would have been more difficult to complete on schedule using traditional hand-forming methods.

When asked about Registers experience with the Climate Cab, Register stated, “I would recommend it to others. Our climate in the Panhandle is very hot during the summer months and surprisingly cold during the winter months, so the cab has been a huge positive for our operator.”
